Boho Bungalow is a home decor and gift boutique founded by Faith Parker, with three stores: Paia on Maui's north shore, Occidental on the Bohemian Highway, and downtown Petaluma in Sonoma County.

Paia 1995

Long Before Boho Bungalow...

Long before there was a Boho Bungalow in Paia, I was a teenager here, chasing waterfalls and waves, working in the cafés and restaurants up and down the Hana Highway and Baldwin Ave. Charley's. Milagro's. A few places that don't exist anymore.

I lived in Paia from 1995 to 1999, back when there was no internet, no email, no cell phones. Just the waves, the highway, and whatever shift you were working that night. A simpler time, and one I never stopped thinking about.

Full Circle

Back where it started

I came back to Maui to open Boho Bungalow Paia, this time with Katherine, who had managed our mainland stores before becoming co-owner at our Paia location.

Opening a store in the same town where I worked as a teenager is the kind of full circle moment you can't really plan for. It just happened to be true.

The original. The store that started it all, and the reason we're called Boho Bungalow in the first place. Boho comes from the Bohemian Highway, the winding road through the redwoods this shop still sits on.

Petaluma

Our largest store and flagship. The candle making classes and candle bar live here, and most days you'll find Faith somewhere between the front door and the back studio.

How We Make It

Made by hand, in the store you're standing in

In each shop, you'll find home decor, gifts, jewelry, and our in-house line of hand-poured soy candles and home fragrance, Bohemian Botanicals.

Here's the part we're proud of. Every Bohemian Botanicals candle, room spray, body lotion, reed diffuser, and perfume is made in the store that sells it. The candles in our Paia store are poured on Maui. The candles in Petaluma are poured in Petaluma. The candles in Occidental are poured in Occidental. Same care, made by hand, in small batches, in the town you're standing in.

Most candle brands ship from a warehouse. We don't. When you light a Bohemian Botanicals candle from our Paia store, it was made here. That hyper local thing matters to us. It's why we make our own line in the first place.

The questions we get most

Boho Bungalow was founded in 2012 by Faith Parker in Occidental, California, on the Bohemian Highway. A second store opened in downtown Petaluma in 2019, and a third opened in Paia, Maui in 2024.

Bohemian Botanicals is the in-house product line by Boho Bungalow, hand-poured soy wax candles, room sprays, body lotion, reed diffusers, and perfume. Everything is made in small batches, by hand, in the store that sells it.

Every Bohemian Botanicals candle is hand-poured in the store that sells it. The Paia, Maui candles are poured by co-owner Katherine Mann. The Petaluma candles are poured by founder Faith Parker. The Occidental candles are poured by Jessica Condello, who also heads up visual merchandising. Most candle brands ship from a warehouse, we don't.

The Fragrance Lab is exclusive to our Paia, Maui store, built around 45 single origin Hawaii notes. Our Petaluma store hosts candle making classes instead, a different but related experience using the same Bohemian Botanicals scent library.
